Alex Baldwin is the company’s Executive Vice President and General Counsel, overseeing all of the company’s legal, regulatory and HR matters. Prior to joining HealthCentral in June 2006, Baldwin was a Junior Partner in the Corporate Department of WilmerHale, a leading international law firm, where he had worked since 1997. At WilmerHale, Baldwin worked on a broad range of corporate transactions for leading technology companies, venture capital funds, and investment banks, including numerous public and private M&A transactions, public securities offerings, private placements, and venture capital financings. Baldwin also advised public and private companies on corporate governance matters, including board and stockholder issues, SEC reporting and compliance, stock incentive plans, and employment matters.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Baldwin worked for three years as a research analyst for Washington Policy and Analysis, an energy and environmental consulting firm. He wrote and presented research reports analyzing developments in U.S. federal energy and environmental policy for international energy companies and foreign governments.
Baldwin has a B.A. in History from Yale University and a J.D. cum laude from University of Michigan Law School.
