Lucie Leblois joins HealthCentral as its Vice President of PR, Marketing and Outreach, bringing extensive marketing experience from one of the top online news sites, washingtonpost.com. Responsible for consumer acquisition to washingtonpost.com and its other online properties, including Newsweek.com, Slate and BudgetTravelOnline, Lucie specialized in branding-marketing, online marketing and search engine marketing, focusing specifically on search engine optimization and paid search.  During her time at washingtonpost.com, traffic to washingtonpost.com effectively doubled, making the news site a top three player amongst online news properties in the US.

As Vice President of Site Product and Marketing for HealthCentral, Lucie oversees all of HealthCentral’s owned-and-operated properties, marketing and site product development.  Over the past three years at HealthCentral, Lucie has been a major driver as the company launched thirty-five condition-specific sites and saw traffic quadruple in size organically year-over-year.  Responsible for audience growth and product development, Lucie has overseen all Search Engine Optimization efforts as well as site development.

Throughout her time at HealthCentral, Lucie also received a Master’s of Arts from Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture and Technology Program, where she completed a Master’s Thesis around the issues of Net Neutrality.  Prior to Georgetown University, Lucie received a B.A. from Trinity College, Hartford, with Honors.  In 1999, Lucie also studied at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, where she tutored children in townships and conducted field research for her Bachelor’s Thesis.

Originally from Paris, France, Lucie grew up speaking French and travels back often to see her family.  She is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Organization.  Lucie is married to Ramsey Baghdadi, the Editor-in-Chief of the RPM Report, a leading health policy magazine and lives in Washington, D.C.
