Quincy Strong, HealthCentral Vice President, Sales Development & Marketing, has worked in the online advertising and publishing industries for the last ten years. Her background in Sales, Product Marketing, Sales Development and B2B Marketing provides a wealth of real-world insights and learning. Prior to joining HealthCentral in May 2008, Quincy spearheaded the Sales Marketing program for Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive (WPNI), the digital arm of The Washington Post, representing washingtonpost.com, Newsweek.com, Slate and BudgetTravel.com.
Quincy started her online career, in the thick of the “dot-boom”, by opening a New York Sales office for Vancouver start-up, GlobalMedia. Her entrepreneurial talents and up-beat personality helped this RealMedia reseller gain access and business with major media groups, including: NFL, BMG and Fashion TV. After coming to the conclusion that broad-band usage was still in its infancy, Quincy transitioned into email marketing sales at the nation’s largest double opt-in email provider, Netcreations. Quincy helped to define global DTC, awareness, education and acquisition programs for the Fortune 100 — she led the Key Account Team and her clients to major wins. In 2002, TechTarget, a long-time client, asked Quincy to move to Boston to implement her vision for strategic changes to their registration experience and database construction which resulted in an extremely profitable List Rental product line.
Quincy has always enjoyed new challenges and working with top brands to exceed their goals and objectives. She is thrilled to be part of HealthCentral – the future of online health and wellness community. Quincy graduated from James Madison University in Virginia, receiving her BA in Media Arts & Design and Business Administration. She currently resides in Alexandria, Virginia with her husband and son.
