Formerly Vice President of Engineering at Wellsphere, Sastry became Vice President of Engineering at HealthCentral with the acquisition of Wellsphere in January 2009. Passionate about software, Sastry has been in the software industry for over 18 years, working on a wide range of products and technologies. Some of the products Sastry has created are: Erwin, the world’s most popular data modeling tool; NetStudio, a web-graphics creation tool that won the best of show award at Internet World conference for its ease of use; Spinfrenzy, one of the first online teen community sites; and OneChannel’s DPMA, an enterprise decision process management platform.
Sastry holds technical degrees from world-renowned universities, including a B.S from the Indian Institute of Technology and an M.S. from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Adhering to simple, time-tested principles to attain and maintain good health, Sastry swims regularly and keeps up good eating habits, with health goals to work out regularly and eat healthy, reduce coffee-intake to less than 2 cups a day, and create the platform that will help millions to improve their health and well-being.
