About Me

For most of my 75 years I have been a reasonably healthy person who avoided doctors as nuch as possible. In spite of all contrary indications I am a smoker. A bout with pnuemonia in 2005 opened the doors to all sorts of problems. I would up with lung surgery in 2005 but opted against chemo. So far I am clean from that. My prostate cancer is being treated by hormone injections. In late 2006 I had back surgery brought about by difficulty walking due primarily to arthritis buildup in my spinal column causing nerve damage which was causing what might be described as hysterical paralysis. Since the surgery I have been more aboe to walk but not much due to increased back and leg pain and leg weakness. I go to the gym 5 days a week to work strictly on leg strength. I sometimes wonder if I am wasting my time with that except I also wonder if I wasn't doing it would I be totally unable to walk now. Lately I have been getting even weaker in my legs and suffering a lot more leg and joint pain. After reading about the side effecsts of prilosec I wondet if Protonix is contributing heavily to be leg problems. I have more leg and back pain now than I ever did before my back surgery.
