Due to my heartburn problems and being unable to get my medicine (I finally got insurance, but it does not cover expensive stomach medications), I am trying to adjust my diet. It seems like the only thing that does not bother me is chicken noodle soup. I normally like chicken noodle soup, but not if I have to eat it every day. In the mornings I get heartburn anyway, no matter if I eat or not, and I throw up stomach acid. I throw that up all morning, and on bad days into the afternoon. Mylanta helps, but only if I can keep it down. Anyone else have these type of problems or any advice?! Thanks in advance.

I am also on Zantac (150 mg@2 per day) and Hyoscyamine (.125@3 per day). I was on Prevacid, but the insurance will not cover it. I notice a definite increase in heartburn and stomach acid without this medication. I used to be on Protonix, which also worked well, but the new insurance will not cover that either. I would really appreciate tips or advice on this. I am miserable in the mornings trying to get the kids up for school, I spend half the time in the bathroom throwing up (or waiting to throw up) stomach acid. Thanks in advance.
