Heartburn Friendly Cooking: White Lasagna

    White Lasagna. I made this dish for my son this week and he loved it so much he ate half for dinner and the other half for breakfast the next morning. I could not wait to share it.

     

    Ingredients:
    - 1 Tbs. cooking oil

    - 1 package ground turkey
    - 1 cup chicken stock
    - 1/2 cup milk (I used rice milk)
    - 2 slices white cheese (I used rice cheese)
    - 1 package oven ready lasagna noodles (I used rice noodles)
    - 1 1/2 cups white shredded cheese (I used rice cheese)
    - salt and pepper for seasoning (as tolerated)

     

    Directions:
    Add cooking oil to a skillet and heat to medium. Add ground turkey and brown, stirring occasionally. Turn down the heat and add the chicken stock, milk, and white cheese. Stir gently until cheese is melted. Season as tolerated. Remove from heat. In a bread pan, add one third of the turkey mixture on the bottom layer. Then add a layer of the noodles, then more turkey mixture, then shredded cheese. Add another layer of noodles, and top with the remaining turkey mixture and shredded cheese. Cover with foil. Cook as directed on the noodle package (probably around 30 minutes on 350 degrees). Let cool slightly and serve.
