White Pizza. Pizza is one of my family's favorite meals, but we have to be creative in what we serve because of my son's acid reflux disease. The recipe below is a way to satisfy a pizza craving while skipping out on the tomato sauce.
2 cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or
1 box Chebe Pizza Crust Mix (if wheat or gluten is not tolerated)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup broccoli or cauliflower pieces
1/3 cup cucumber slices
1/3 cup carrot slices
1 avocado sliced
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. If using the crescent rolls, unroll the dough and press in a 15 x 10 inch (or 9 x 13 inch) pan to form the crust. (If using the Chebe mix, follow the directions on the box - you will need oil, 2 eggs, and water to form the dough.) Bake the crust about 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. In a small bowl, mix together the cream cheese and sour cream until smooth. Spread over the crust. Top with the veggies. Season with the salt and pepper. Cut into squares and serve immediately.
