my daughter was diagnosed with acid reflux my husband and i having a hard understanding all of this we are first time parents, What can be done when my 2 year get lot of pain at night because of acid reflux. was up till 4 in morning with pain. i was told i wasnt able to give her milk or juices pretty much she cant have almost anything.

what other symptoms does she have? Constipation, diarreha? Does she have allergies? Has she been on antibiotics? Does she have eczema? How are her sleep habits normally? When did the "reflux" start?
Just need a little history to put you on a good track.
thanks im going crazy with her, she throw up at least once a day,no diarreha or constipation, only allergic to peniclyen, has not been on atibiotics, no eczema, sleep habit got horrible lately were are just trying to see when she is sleepy an put her to sleep then cause if not we could try for hours and she wont go to sleep, she had reflux as a baby but after her first year it just developed again, then went away an now it been almost a month that she started up again really bad, I been giving two week axid 2 time a day and children mylanta if she complaine about her being in pain but it seem like it everyday that she crys of pain.
When is she throwing up? After milk or food? Is it the same time of day?
What's the signifigance of eczema? My son has eczema, his mother had a nipple infection, so she was on antibiotics, and she suspects he has acid reflux, although I doubt it.
Hello,
Eczema is a skin rash that is associated with food allergies. The symptoms of food allergies and infant reflux may be similar-poor feeding, fussiness during and after a feeding and poor sleep. If the food allergies are diagnosed and treated, the symptoms often improve or go away. Some babies are diagnosed with reflux when they really have food allergies.
Same with Thrush and Yeast overgrowth. Mothers and babies (or both) may have these conditions and need treatment. Sometimes thrush and yeast overgrowth cause fussiness and feeding discomfort so again-it may look like the baby has reflux but it is something else.
I hope that I have answered your questions.
