Saturday, September 08, 2007 at 11:41 AMHi Linda,
I would like to know more about why it lasted only a year, the GERD surgery. This doctor that will do mine studied at the Mayo clinic,he has top credentials. I would not have this done, but I have Barettts, that is pre cancerous, My acid is gotten out of hand, because I have also a rotten taste in my mouth. I would like more feedback and comments. I have been on the web for 2 weeks now trying to see what went wrong with other patients. It seems that the wrap got loose with your surgery. I am limited to a choice, because my father died from stomach cancer in the 40s. I have been so disgusted with former doctors, because they loaaded me with meds, and consequently I have excessive problems. Please let me know just what happened to you. Thanks Carol

I have suffered for 40 years with Gerd, and a bad stomach. I thought I ate well, however I know that I eat to fast. I brought up 2 children and was always harried working for 33 years. Today, there are fine foods that are in many grocery stores. I will have surgery soon to eliminate GERD symptom...

Hi,
I had the surgery for gerd, and mine only lasted about a year. I am right back where i started from. It isn't an easy surgery to go through. I wish you luck with yours.
