Wednesday, May 09, 2007 at 08:39 PMI too had a dry persistent cough for years with no apparent cause. A physician friend suggested prilosec for 14 days and the cough went away. So, Yes I think this is more common than they think. -

Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 08:18 PMI had a cough for almost 2 years and sinus problems I thought and allergies I thought turned out it was acid reflux went to a Gas doctor (I'm not even gonna try and spell that word) I have been taking Nexium 40mg for almost a year now and the cough went away as soon as I started taking it and so did the indigestion YEAH!!!!

Read more on the internet or ask a doctor about that. I know that for sure , my son just going trought that.
