I have had a dry cough off and on for years and someone just asked me whether it was related to Acid Reflux.  I did not know that acid reflux could be related to a cough.  Has anyone heard of anything like that?

Have you seen the list of symptoms on the site? http://www.healthcentral.com/acid-reflux/introduction-000085_4-145.html

Dry cough is listed as one of the less common symptoms of reflux.

I too had a dry persistent cough for years with no apparent cause.  A physician friend suggested prilosec for 14 days and the cough went away.  So, Yes I think this is more common than they think.
