It’s Christmas Day and those of us with an Obsessive Compulsive Writing Disorder (OCWD) need to find something to write about that isn’t depressing or too heavy. Hobie diagnosed me with OCWD when he sent me this email about a 381word post that took me three hours to write. I never wrote anything until a couple of years ago when Rayelan made me an Agent at RMN. Until then I was writing lengthy essays that took on average 2 weeks to complete. Since July of 2009, I posted over 336 times. I had a couple of ideas for today: And then I remembered it’s been 19 days since I accidentally cured my GERD. Last night was Christmas Eve and I engaged in some irresponsible eating. The main course was Linguine and Clams in a white wine and garlic sauce but before I could finish, out came the Chocolate Cupcakes that I swilled down with a can of Sparkling Lemon Soda. Still hungry I wondered what would happen if I mixed Linguine, Chocolate and Linguine. I quit eating the Linguine and headed for bed because everyone was looking at me like I was crazy. Since there was no more Lemon Soda I got a glass of Carrot Juice to wash down the rest of the Linguine. But I was still hungry and hadn’t finished the carrot juice so I ate some Caramel popcorn and realized I was Violating just about every rule of people suffering from Acid Reflux: I went to bed, without elevating my head, and hoped my stomach would figure out how to digest the bizarre combination of foods. And yes, I woke up early this morning feeling gassy, bloated with an unpleasant taste in my mouth because acidic digestive juices were flowing backward from my stomach into my esophagus, but guess what NO HEARTBURN or CHEST Pain. I have indigestion from the bizarre combination of foods I ate last night but The GERD is still GONE. It’s a good thing I don’t like paper work or I would be in real trouble. Strange as it seems, sometimes there's an 'energy' around a post that Readers respond to, even if unconsciously - and something written "from the hip" may have more of that energy than something that was labored over. Many of them are looking for "news" - that is, something with a sense of urgency to it - versus "essays" that may have a lot of merit but might not be "pressingly relevant" to what's already on their minds.
Do not eat anything, especially Chocolate and Fatty Meals, four hours before going to bed!

I spent hours trying to get rid of the formatting characters. I had a preview without them. Then they came back.
