I can relate
Wendy
Thursday, January 08, 2009 at 06:34 PMI have been on every acid blocker that last week and I still have the same sensation of having something stuck in my throat. What happened when you went to the Doctor. I really want an endoscope so I can know what it is already.

Thursday, January 08, 2009 at 06:52 PMYa, I am wondering if it could be pflegm in my throat. Cause when I get sick, i get SICK. It sucks, and I also have chronic sinusitis, so whenever I get a sinus cold, UGH.... blah.
The doc said she wants to do that enoscopy, but cant right now cause I am preggo.. so we have to wait, she thinks I have a narrow esophagus. So ya.. anyway, hope you too figure out what it is..

I Had ARD and GERD worse while pregnant

Friday, January 09, 2009 at 12:15 AMIt is a good thing you are going to your doctor, that is always good just to make sure.
I am a Mom (in my late 30's) of 4 children and I had ARD and GERD and constant heartburn while pregnant with the last two (now girls ages 8 and 9--my other two children are boys ages 16 and 13). It is an old wives tale that if you have heartburn that means the baby has hair! It did not pan out with my 9 y/o, but my youngest (age 8) was born with a whole fuzzy head of hair!!
While pregnant with my youngest, I craved "Red Hot Riplets", Hot Wings, hot and spicy stuff (which I used to LOVE). She turned out as a very intelligent. artistic, and creative girl, who marches to the beat of her own drummer. She is 8 now.
Sometimes those cravings mean you are going to have a lil Firecracker (like I did)!!! :)
You never know... :)
Best Wishes,
Kitty Catty

Hello! Let us know what you find out at the doctors appt today. It is certainly a good idea to check out the symptoms with your doctor. I know reflux may occur or worsen during pregnancy. You are doing the right thing going to the doctor.
