my son he has acid reflux since birth it is also called(GERD) his dr. gave hm prevacid 15 mg cap i have to mix it with baby cereal in the morning with either baby juice or alittle baby food. During the day i feed him normuly (will take a couple naps a day) but at night around 8:00pm i give him a bath with nightime baby products then i use nighttime baby lotion, then i mix baby cereal with his formula about 5-7oz he will go to around 9:00 - 10:00pm wakes up around 2:00 0 3:00am daiper changed and just a formula bottle and he goes right back to sleep. Is your child on meds. for his or her acid reflects?

Acid reflects in children and babies is called Gastroesphageal reflux disease (GERD) symptoms on babies are vomting, belching or burging (more then normal) abdominal pain, hicups, frequent upper respiratory infections, fussiness around mealtimes, coughing, hertburn, not gaining weight, spitting up feedings.

When your child or children with acidreflects (GERD) gets older into his childhood and teens you should avoid greasy, spicy foods, citrus products, mints, foods or drinks with caffeine or chocolate. Anyone with GERD should avoid eating before bedtime. They should use 2 or 3 pillows instead of 1 while sleeping (if it helps)
