After choking on my bran muffins one too many times, I visited my doctor who said I had reflux esophagistis. This was crazy to me since I never had heartburn. For the last three months, my throat has been in a spasm and I have difficulty speaking. My mouth feels as though it is scaled and now the burning sensation is going up my nose. I feel as though hot chinese mustard has been shoved under my nose. Prevacid  2 X a day has been prescibed and I am waiting for some relief. Any suggestions?

Dear Neenah,

I am glad you discussed your symptoms with the doctor. Be sure to check back with the doctor in a few weeks to let him/her know if the treatment is working. Also find out how long you should take the medication.

Best wishes,

My son and a co-worker suggested I drink a natural Apple Cider Vinegar product with water and honey. I tried it twice, and my voice actually came back. The burning in my mouth and nose still bother me. I see an ENT doctor next week, and hope for an answer to this irritating problems. Thanks for your concern.
