I have been recently diagnosed with reflux and am going for a cat scan tommrrow. Trying to understand all this. I am not overweight, excersise daily and think I eat pretty well. I have had 2 sinus infections in 8 weeks. Had the worst allergy attack ever about a week ago. Lots of draingage ( usually gets stuck in my head). Is this a part of relux? Kinda scary and a little depressing. To feel bad everyday ( sore throat) also. Does reflux in general mess with your immune system? It started out as pelvic pain for about a week and then I lost my appetite. I have lost 5-6 pounds. Is that normal? Does anyone else have lower abodumen burning? I have it mostly there, but my eesophageal biopsies show irratiation. Also, haveing the worst period ever. 9 days of bleeding, twice what i usully have. I have been back and forth between GI and OBYGN. Had a colonocopy, endroscopy,ultra sound, blood test, urine test and c-125 ( ovarian cancer). All negative. SOooo, cat scan tommroow. If anyone has any thoughts would appreciate it. Kinda, dont know what doctor to see? I am scared to get too many chefs in the kitchen, so to speak! Thank you:)
