Hi, Tracy...

Your cookie recipe sounds so good. But I didn't know that peanut butter (or almond butter) were okay if one has GERD, because of the amount of fat.  And I also wondered if the half a cup of butter plus the nut butter was a lot of fat to use.  I have trouble if I eat too much butter, which is why I never thought to try peanut or almond butter, although I used to love them before I got GERD.

I  may try this recipe anyway. It sounds good. I'm only taking 20 mg of Nexium every other morning (no Nexium every other day).

Love your recipes.

You make a great point about the amount of fat. With all of the recipes, it may be trial and error to see what works for you and what doesn't (and for my son, the quantity eaten, especially when it comes to sweets, really matters). You might also try sesame seed butter. I had never even heard of it before, but a few weeks ago a friend who has a daughter with peanut allergy said she uses it in all of her recipes.

Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to post a comment!
