In the last post, it said to opt for selzter water and lemon, but I can't seem to handle citrus. Is lemon okay in water if you have reflux?  Or squeezed on fish or veggies? I thought I couldn't have it.

And what about the mayo on a turkey sandwich?  Is that okay if you have reflux?

Thanks.

I think it is really individual what you can and can't have. My son also can not tolerate lemon because of his food allergies, but I spoke with an adult friend with reflux and she told me that selzter water and lemon work really well for her. Like many aspects of reflux, it will be trial and error. The point is to keep in mind what works, and especially be aware of what does not work for you, and do not over do it, just because there is a partying atomosphere.

Mayo and seltzer water with lemon (lots of acid there) aggravate my reflux every time. So does chocolate.

Aloecure is a great product to try.  I've had terrible reflux for years, and drinking Aloecure has brought me huge relief.
