I believe the person with acid reflux should take their medication and then go to sleep.  I have had acid reflux for over 30 years. But what keeps me from sleeping with someone is not their acid reflux, if they had it, but their snoring! That keeps them out of my bed, for sure.

I tend not to agree - I take my medication, eat tiny meals, watch my diet and don't eat within three hours of bedtime and  still wake up several times a night.  I'm 31 weeks pregnant and hav taken to sleeping sitting on the couch - both for my sanity and my husband's!

Is this your first pregnancy?  The heartburn as I was told long, long ago is because the baby has hair on his head!  And 3 of my 4 boys, had lots of hair and my youngest was a "toe" head and believe it or not I had no heartburn with him.  If you had a recliner it would be better.  I had to do that for awhile too.  Have you tried Pepcid AC.  It's really very good.  Good luck.  Oh, what medication are you taking for heartburn, b/c sometimes my meds just don't work and the Pepcid AC knocks it right out.
