Muellers post-reflux

By ckmueller Sunday, May 22, 2011

I have been dealing with acid reflux for over a year now and I have gotten it so bad that I have had gastritis really bad several times.  I was feeling really good again for the last few months, and then all of a sudden one day I started choking on something I ate (didnt think it was a big deal).  Ever since then, the reflux has acted up and I am now short of breath again!  It hurts right in between my rib cage and feels like there is a lot of pressure.  I went to the hospital again, they said it was gastitis, and sent me home with nothing.  I was wondering if it was nornal to have flare up of acid reflux and gastritis after coughing a lot or throwing up, because I have gotten it bad after both of those cases. Also, i have issues with my esophaegel sphincter, and can take Reglan for that, but when I take it, it makes me so dizzy, tired and not myself. Was wondering if anyone has had an issue like myself. I need to go to my GI specialist again, but I wont' get in for weeks, and they will pry tell me to keep taking the Nexium and reglan.  Who knows.  Any help or advice ?? thanks!
