Hi. I am a 55 yr. old woman with GERD and Hyatal Hernia. I had been on a few medications for the GERD in the past (Protonix, Prilosec, etc.) and stoppped taking them about one year ago. My hair has been falling out and I was wondering if it could be from malabsorption due to the GERD or a reaction to the medications? The Endocrinologist determined that it wasn't my thyroid that was causing the hair loss. I am also on hormone replacement therapy - and the hair loss continues. I was diagnosed with Telogen Affluvium about 6 years ago and it's never gotten any better. Not sure what is going on?
