My son is 9 weeks old and suffering from reflux. I thought he was getting better then he started again with the arching of his back and constant crying with feedings. The newest thing is his noisy breathing. They adjusted his meds and i'm constantly changing his position, but nothing works 100%. He does eat, nap , and seem happy, but their are many many momets when he isn't.Their are many days when I feel all i do is hold him. He is going for gastro scan and upper gi next week.I feel like my pediatrician thinks it isn't necessasry because he is gaining weight. Well i disagree. I will do whatever it takes to make him happy and comfortable. I don't know any moms with reflux babies so i use the internet. I hope i can find some tips and info..

Hello and welcome to our on line community! There is much information and support here. I hope some of the parents who have young babies with reflux will offer their ideas and stories.
It is certainly worrisome when a baby with reflux has breathing problems, regardless of how much he/she is gaining weight. My daughter grew and stay on the growth chart due to frequent nursing as she quietly aspirated. The good news is most babies do a great job of protecting their airway during reflux. There may be frequent coughing, choking, hoarseness, etc. It sounds worrisome to you but it is a sign that he is preventing aspiration. You still need to have a doctor check his breathing and bring him to the doctor or emergency room any time you are worried.
Hang in there and let us know what you find out from the testing.
Best wishes,
