Hello and welcome to our on line community! There is much information and support here. I hope some of the parents who have young babies with reflux will offer their ideas and stories.
It is certainly worrisome when a baby with reflux has breathing problems, regardless of how much he/she is gaining weight. My daughter grew and stay on the growth chart due to frequent nursing as she quietly aspirated. The good news is most babies do a great job of protecting their airway during reflux. There may be frequent coughing, choking, hoarseness, etc. It sounds worrisome to you but it is a sign that he is preventing aspiration. You still need to have a doctor check his breathing and bring him to the doctor or emergency room any time you are worried.
Hang in there and let us know what you find out from the testing.
Best wishes,
