I remember the discussion on nationalizing healthcare very well. I was the one opposing it.

First, I would like to say how sorry I am that your husband lost his job. My husband has been out of work since October so I can truthfully say I know what it feels like.

However, I still think that everyone needs to research Nationalized healthcare and the great possibility of having all your medical records computerized.

It is a shame that Medicare and Medicaid, social programs that were first created to help people, have been abused for so long and now people who really need the help just can't get it. Don't you feel like, "hey I work hard and I should be rewarded" while the bum down the street is doing drugs and buying liquor with his welfare check....

It hurts. We need to stop rewarding those who fail. Why should the person who is being forclosed on becuase they took the equity out of their home to buy a Cadillac be giving a lower interest rate. But someone, like me, who has a perfect credit score can't get the same low rate?

I hate to be the one that opens the can of worms but I must. The first thing for everyone to do is BUY AMERICAN USA MADE PRODUCTS ONLY!!! 

90% of the clothes sold in the US are prodcued outside the US. If you are not producing, you have no product so there is nothing to sell. If you have nothing to sell, how can you make money and have a business? If you don't have a business, there is no one to employ. If you don't employ people, they can not make money. If they can't make money, they have none to spend..... and so the domino effect begins and ends. The end is that people don't have jobs and don't spend money.

If we did increase production, then people would have jobs, make money and have insurance and healthcare would be accesible. And for those unfortunate few who wouldn't be working or couldn't be working, the social programs would kick in for them as it was meant to be.

Think about if we had nationalized healthcare and the government reigned over the decisions of your health. They could check the computer, see what stage of cancer you were in and decide if they would cover treatment. If you were 10 years old, I'm sure it would be approved, but what if you were 80? Would they make the decision that you've lived a good life and that's that.......

I might be jumping a bit ahead but when the new president decides to fire the CEO of a car company, I think it's time to worry about the government over taking it all and telling us all what to do.

It has started in California. Legislation is looking to pass an act of NO BLACK CARS, becuase of reasons dealing with the environment. They say black cars absorb too much heat causing the driver to use the AC and emit too many carbon dioxide emmissions.

I feel bad for people who are overweight. They will be told to lose weight because they are using too much air conditioning and their national healthcare is not going to cover their medical issues as a result of being overweight. Oh yeah, what will "being overweight" be defined as?
