I started out with sinus like problems my nose was stuffy, constant throat clearing feeling of suffacting and panic attacks the doc put me on three round of antobics and stomach med's prilosec. I stopped the med's after the doc said to 28 days later and everything was gone then 3-4 days later full force i ate a meal and starting regretating my food extreme heartburn, upset stomach and pain and diarehea. The doc put me back on the med's and told me to not take any NSDIADS anymore that I may have an ucler with acid reflux. So i took excedrin for the pain and ended up in the e.r that night for extreme chest pain and burning not able to breath and stomach pains. They increased my meds to 40 mg of prilosec and told me to f/u with my doc they did ultra sounds and x-rays said i had gastrisis.
I went to my doc for a f/u they switched me to nexium and carafate switch a day went to gastro doc scheduled me an appt for an upper gi test tommorrow to find out whats going on with me. Now i can't eat without server upper chest discomformt and stomach swells up just frm little amount of food, i changed my diet no soda no motrin, i eat carrots water and bland foods baked potatoes boiled meats no fryed foods no greasy food and i still have really bad disconformt does anyone know does all this sound like something you've had so i know what i am dealing with. my neck hurts my sinus feels plugs congested right ear bothers me and backpain and upper stomach and chest tightness.

Theresa, I to have awful heartburn, right ear ache, stuffy nose and just a general sick feeling. Yelck. I have never had problems with heartburn until 2 or 3 months ago. It is awful. I am on nexium and can not tell it does a lot for me. I wake in the morning and through the night with a burn in my throat near the adam's apple. Lol. I have gotten it so bad that even water hurts to swollow. My question is how does it or does it get in the lungs. I was told last week I have emphysema. An ENT doc told my sister in law that it does get in the lungs and lots of people have to have lung transplants because they are not properly diagnosed until it is to late.
I can say that one time I got it so bad i thought I was dying. Back pain, chest pain and pressure, bad taste in the mouth, and even fever.
