05-12-2009 I'm 53 and got my first attack when I was 49. I begin to feel that something is wrong, and something is going to happen. Then it happens, I feel a terrible pain in my chest, my heart begins to pound to a beat that I can feel in my chest and I begin to think it's some kind of heart attack but my arm doe's not feel num nor do my lip, I do not break out in a sweet but there has been a time or two that I did. The big hit is towards the end when I feel a big rush go through my entire body that feels like a big blood rush, when I get the attack at work I tell my coworkers in case we need to call 911. They soon tell me that I've lost my color and turn a pail white and blue. After the big rush a few minutes go by and I begin to get my color back. There after I get an anxiety attack, and talk about what just happen to my coworkers or who ever is with me at the time to take my mind off what just happen to me and help me get over the whole ordeal? It‘s quite a terrible felling you go though; you fell your dyeing and can't do a thing about it. It scares you to where you almost thing about it all the time wondering when it going to happen again and will you survive?

Rick,

What does the doctor say about this? Have you ever gone to the Emergency Department during one of these episodes. It really is important to find out why you are having these episodes.

Hi Ricky,

I feel the same way.  I don't know how I can function sometimes with this problem.  I can't breath in too deep and I do feel like I'm perspiring.  I'm 36, but this started at 32.  My heart starts beating and I don't know if it's my heart or my stomach.  I just feel so light headed.  Sometimes I walk around like this for days.  Belching usually helps, that is how I knew that it was gas.  The pain travels around in my chest and my back and shoulders.  Sometimes I just want it to end.  However, it always starts because of something that I do.  I eat McDonald's or chinese food or something that will start my stomach to making noises.  The noises last for days and nights and it feels like I'm on a washing machine.  I hope you feel better Ricky.

Has your condition improved at all?  Has the doctor found anything that helps?
