going to the GI

By lissamonkey Sunday, June 29, 2008

So I finally saw my regular doctor who said there was nothing more she could do & sent a referal to the GI dept. After a week they called me & were going to make me wait 2 months to see them. Hell no. So I got an appt. for the 17th (July). They are doing an enscopy(sp?). A tube w/a camara thet they stick down your throat to your belly, to see whats going on. I am friaghtened ... cause they haven't even talked to me, let alone seen me. Is this typical? I keep wondering if there's something wrong with me heart... Still having the tingles in my limbs... I wish this would stop & I'd have answers

Hi Lisa,

I'm glad you got the appointment earlier! Hopefully the endoscopy will get you the answers you need.

Since your doctor's office hasn't been in touch with you about the the endoscopy, you may want to refer to our guide to endoscopy for more information on the procedure and what to expect.

Let us know how it goes. I hope you are feeling better soon!

I have had the procedure you are about to do several times. Nothing to be frightened of. I am taking Aciphix for my GURD problem. Tried everything else, nothing worked for me but this expensive one. I got put on the belladonna when I started to get weaned of my pain killer prescription drug-morphine. The stomach pain and cramping was painful. The barbituates in this drug will give you the symptoms of anxiousness, tingling, etc. Usually during the coming down from it. I suggest you do like me, ask them to start weaning you off it. It's a dangerous drug like my morphine...real hard on the body, messes with everything.
