ACID REFLUX CHANGED MY LIFE

The only way I got through this was to change my life. Living with acid relux is a nightmare and I am so grateful this disease hit me when I am 40 and not before! Before this I had some fun and enjoyed moderate amounts of wine, coffee, restaurants and a hectic lifestyle! It has all ground to a halt. But after months living within a painful abyss, the meds, gentle lifestyle and strict diet are all beginning to kick in and I am slowly emerging..... I feel like a butterfly leaving my cocoon! Before this I was a woman insane, hurtling from my job to rush home, cook tea for the kids, take them to their activities, throw in a washing load and grab a quick junk supper (wine and crisps often). Now, it is gentle country walks, sit-down meals (fish and veggies), herbal tea and spending time with my gorgeous hubby and saying no to the kids sometimes! I am able to work from home and am excited about setting out on a new adventure. Acid reflux came upon me without warning - it knocked me out with pain and stopped me in my tracks. I am still in moderate pain (eased by prevacid, gaviscon, manuka honey, aloe vera and all the above life changes) - but I can see me improving!
