In 1996, I was a successful, stressed out and overweight professional sales entrepeneur.

Food to me consisted of whatever I could find between clients. I frequently suffered severe indigestion and burning. On three separate occasions I found myself  In the Emergency Room with severe chest pain. Thank God An E.R. Physician finally had the presence of mind to order an endoscopy and followed with a diagnosis of Barrett's (a pre cancerous condition that is a pre curser to esophogeal cancer). Over the last 12 years I have continued a regime of low fat, high fiber diet with nexium. I wish to note that I have been able through diet to eliminate all GERD symptoms and remain cancer free. There is hope if you find the right combination of diet and therapy and follow through.
