Gerd with hiatal hernia and schatzk's ring issues
I didn’t know how many people suffer from Acid-reflux, I will try to help as many as I can, I’m 59 years old, 3 years ago I was suffering from Acid-reflux, I tried just about all the drugs in the market but, it didn’t help much, and the side effects were terrible, a friend of mine told me about this natural food supplement that he tried, I ordered and tried myself, it was amazing, no side effects, safe for all ages including babies, I didn’t have to go on a diet, I eat and drink anything any time as much as I want, and I mean anything including coffee, sodas. pizza, chocolate spicy foods (my wife is mexican),. I didn’t have to make any lifestyles changes, I don’t have to elevate my head when I sleep and it lasted for more than a year, I had to order it 2 times since for myself and 1 time for my daughter and my son, my daughter was 18 years old and 32 weeks pregnant, my son was 10, the baby is now 13 months old and my daughter and my son had forgotten about Acid-reflux, until two weeks ago my daughter ask me for the web site address because one of her friends at school have reflux, I have told many of my friend about it, try it and tell your friends too, let me know if it work for you, the web site is betasupplements.com.

Hi, thank you so much. I have found a bit more about my digestive system problems. The hiatal hernia with schatzki's ring is moderate damage. I don't know where that leaves me--will it remain in this state, reverse, or will it become worse? If so, what then? I have also learned that this GERD has a lot to do with other ailments like having triggered some of my bronchitis and asthma attacks. Scary!! The throat closing issue was something new that truly had me worried. I saw my doctor last week and he indicated that it sounded like classic VCD to him. He knows I like to be on top of my health issues and suggested I go on the internet on this and see what I thought. I see him again Monday. It does indeed sound exactly like VCD-feeling of lump in throat, sore throat, hoarse, throat closing upon coughly for 30 to 60 seconds. Again, to my shock all related to acid reflux! I have had the hoarseness, sore throat issues off and on for a while but only recently the closing. I am now concerned about what damage may have been done to my vocal cords and what is the next step. I don't know if speech therapy and exercise is enough? I am anxious to know everything I can about the whole schatzki's ring, acid reflux issues and things I need to watch out for; how often I should have an endoscopy; just everything. I let my digestive system suffer because of my inability to monitor myself better. Looking back the IBS and gastritis issues I have were diagnosed in mid 90's and the acid reflux for sure diagnosed in 2004. Also just had a colonoscopy and a polop was taken and cleared this a few weeks ago. I have begun to make a real effort to eat smaller portions, eat more often, eat my last meal 3 to 4 hours before bed and I have propped the head of my bed up. I appreciate any advise and suggestions. At this time I take 20mg of generic Prilosec. I have just ordered 2 cook books I think from this site but not sure. Any thoughts for my doctor and me? Thank you so much
Hello Karen,
Wow! Lots going on. I am sure it is a relief to have a diagnosis and know what is triggering the symptoms. Sometimes, getting a diagnosis can be the hardest part. Once you know what you are dealing with, you can direct your efforts and work with the doctor to find a treatment plan that really works.
I think it is important to figure out what symptoms are most worrisome to you and the doctor. Start slowly and change one thing at a time. It may be important to bring in a skilled Ears, Nose and Throat specialist (otolaryngologist) or even a laryngologist.
Well timed medication, diet and keeping your head upright for sleep may all be important. Losing weight if overweight, eating slowly and chewing well can help too. I call this careful eating-really listen to your stomach and this will lead to better digestive comfort.
I invite others to add their comments and best ideas.
Keep in touch-
