I feel strongly I am suffering from GERD.   I started H. Pylori treatment on Nov 7, 2007.  I took Acihpex (20mg), Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin for two weeks.  On the third day of this treatment saliva stated bubbling up into my mouth.  This saliva is frothy but is odorless.  This problem has been ongoing for the past three months.  In Jan 08 the breath test indicated the H. Pylori has been eradicated. The GI who did the endoscopy which discovered the H. Pylori said he did not know why I am suffering from this excess saliva.  I have been to my Primary Care Physician several times and two different ENT's.  The second ENT feels I am suffering from Acid Reflux and prescribed Prilosec and Benadryl.  The Prilosec does not give me any relief and I have gone back to Aciphex but so far no change in my symptoms.  I am going to see the same GI tomorrow but this time I have done research and feel my excess saliva(water brash) problem is a symptom of GERD.  I am now starting to feel some minor heartburn pain in my chest now.  I hope to convince the GI to treat me for GERD.
