Q: Hello Todd, I  was diagnosed with Barrett's Esophagus in a very small section in the GE Junction along with Chronic Gastritis (H.Pylori was negative) and my Gastroenterologist prescribed me to take Prevacid. I never had heart burn symptons in the past and last July, had some burning sensation in my stomach or chest or back (kept switching) and that's when my physician suggetsed me to take the endoscopy. Before the endoscopy, he prescribed Aciphex which seemd to relieve the burning sensation. Then after the endoscopy, my Gastroenterologist asked to take prevacid and that didn't help. The burning sensation was becoming quite common and now it is there every day. I have switched b/w Zegrid, Prevacid, Pantoprazole and Aciphex with no effect. However, when I was on vacation in India last december, I had consulted a Gastroenterologist there and he prescribed me Domperidone 10mg with Pantoprazole. That really helped me a lot but I wasn't aware of the drubg being banned here in the Us. As soon as I heard abt it, I stopped taking Domperidone and the burning sensation is back. Is there any other medication? Or can I continue with Dom Peridone?
