As most of you know the FDA just released a new "Black Box Warning" for metaclopramide or Reglan.  In my opinion this warning is long overdue!  It is essential that parents and patients be informed about the risk of this medication, especially for movement disorders such as Tardive Dyskines...

    We also had our son on Reglan, but after reading on the prescribing info sheet that it should not be used long-term in children and learning of the side effects, we took him off of it.  We discovered no difference, so we have ceased using it.  When we questioned our docs about the side effects, they did say that you would see the effects w/in the first few doses--it's not something that onsets later in use.  It's still scary stuff!
