Monday, November 24, 2008 at 07:38 AMYes, of course it could be related to GERD or Barretts but it also could not. Ask your doctor and let him or her know your symptoms. They can best judge. Most likely they will schedule an endoscopy to rule anything out. Make an appointment as soon as you can. You don't want to go through the holidays like this.
I am 38 and was diagnosed with Barretts this time last year. It was a shock but now I know to change my diet, exercise and have check ups. I am glad to know earlier rather than too late.

I forgot that yesterday the cough attack was almost about the same time as today. I do not know if that would be of any extra help to figure out what is going on
