I have a 6 week old daughter who has in the last week started vomiting (spitting up) extremely bad. Today she had blood in her spit-up a few times in a row. I have gone to the doctor twice in the last two days and received absolutely no answers. I'm frantically searching to find out what is wrong with my baby. I need help! Could this be an allergy to her formula, reflux, or both?
Thanks!
Heather

I would take her to the hospital and make sure a gastroenterologist checked her out. Make sure her stomach is ok. My son had reflux and there was no vomiting just a little spit up and no blood in it. My pediatrician told me if there was any blood or vomiting then he would have had to have test done. I wouldn't go back to that pediatrician either. The doctor should have taken this seriously and ran test on her. I wouldn't wait go to the hospital.
Hello,
I agree 100% with the previous message from Anonymous. A young baby with severe vomiting and blood in the vomit needs to be evaluated by a doctor today. Please go to a pediatrician, urgent care or emergency department to find out what is going on.
A young baby may dehydrate very easily so it is important to take action right away.
PLEASE let us know how you and your baby are doing.
I will be thinking about you.
