Jan Gambino, one of our resident experts here found some information about a particular prop up pillow called the Medslant Wedge/Pillow. Developed by Adele Camens, it is made for adults as well as children. You can read Jan's comments here.
Good luck and stay in touch, let us know how you and your wife are doing!!

Sunday, December 09, 2007 at 11:43 AMHello!
Elevating the bed is often recommended by a doctor as part of a GERD treatment plan. I have no personal experience with any of the products but there are several to consider:
Wedges:
Propuppillow
Medslant
AR Pillow
TuckerDesigns
Bed Lifts:
Bedzup
Bed lifts (various brands) in most department stores, bedding stores
Good luck! Jan

I put that on my side of the bed with my pillow on top. It is actually quite comfortable. It took some getting used to but the benefit was worth it.
