So sorry to hear that little Jacob and his mother had to go through such painful experience because of unforseen delays and communication breakdown.

 

Your tips are very helpful. Sometimes it helps if parents sort of "politely quiz" the pediatrician by saying, "so what do you think about the recommendations by our feeding therapist?"; at other times asking the therapist to directly call the doctor is very helpful, and sometimes personal e-mails from therapists/specialists/lactation consultants help too.

 

Unfortunately, reflux is one area where parents have to be very proactive.
