I have a fairly severe GERD and I was scanning the web looking for information on low acid vinegar when I found one of your postings. Even though you specialize in GERD in younger folks, I am most definitely an adult. I very much look forward to hearing more about news that you found out at the conference. My GERD is severe, as I said, and I feel very alone when trying to figure out what and how to eat. Finding you is very lucky for me. Recently I have been going to a naturopath and have found accupuncture to be helpful. The traditional doctors all try their best, but when the medicine doesn't work they don't know what to do next. Wishing you a very happy New Year!

Hello Susan and Happy New Year!

Thank you for your message. I do spend most of my time scanning the conferences and research journal for info about infant to teen reflux however, I often talk about adult reflux issues too. Stephanie is another frequent contributor on HealthCentral and she does an excellent job finding the latest information on adult reflux issues.

Good luck finding ways to manage your reflux. It really does make a big difference if you take control of your health care and work to educate yourself. Good for you!

Take care, Jan
