my baby is on prevacid. I was wondering what the contradictions were and the side effects.  Because I have a few things that were bothering me and I wondered if it had to do with the prevacid.

Dear Tina, I would encourage you to call the doctor and pharmacist right away if you are worried about the medication. Sometimes a medication will cause side effects for a few days as the body adjusts to the medication. Other times, the patient and the doctor decide that the side effects are too bothersome and switch to another treatment. It is also possible to have symptoms appear by coincidence just as a new treatment is started!

Prevacid is not associated with too many side effects but each person is different.

Please let me know what you find out.
