HealthCentral has become SleepFeeding Central! The first Sharepost I could find dates back to March 3, 2007 when Siddhanth asked about help for feeding her baby. Since then, Reflux Moms and Dads who are sleep feeding their babies have found each other.
Sleep feeding (also known as Dream Feeding) is the term used to describe feeding a drowsy or sleeping baby due to refusal while awake. It appears that reflux and related digestive conditions make awake feeding painful and uncomfortable.
Parents of sleep feeders worked with their doctors and also consulted the experts on line: other parents who had been though the same experience. HealthCentral has hosted the largest and longest discussion on sleep feeding that I have seen to date.
It would be great if parents would share their sleep feeding stories right here or add an update to their story.
I look forward to hearing from you!
