Thank you for this valuable information.  My baby is one month old and we have struggled from day one with these symptoms...inconsolable crying infant.  The only thing is that she is gaining weight fast and has no problems eating, infact she would prefer to eat all the time.  My doc thinks she is having some kind of belly and thinks eating will help.  I stopped my dairy intake considerably, started her on gripe water.  Nothing really seems to be working.  Is it still possible that she has reflux even if she would prefer to eat and is gaining, but having all the other symptoms?

Nicole -

There are some babies that woulld more just to soothe their pain.  I feel your pain...my daughter is gaining weight but not fast and the doctors look at her growth curve and tell me that as long as she is growing, they are not concerned.

I would push for you to see a GI specialist...
