The American Academy of Pediatrics Conference is being held in Washington DC this weekend so I am getting into my van with GERDMOM plates and heading down! I am eager to get up to date about new research and trends in pediatrics from the premier professional organization of pediatricians. It is estimated that 10,000 professionals will attend the conference from the United States and around the world. Who knows, maybe your pediatrician will be there too!

I will be updating you daily on news you can use for your baby to teen with Gastroesophageal Reflux (GER) and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Check back for the latest information on new feeding guidelines for introducing solids to infants, obesity and GERD and Autism Spectrum Disorder and GERD. There is sure to be a great deal of interest in the sessions on H1N1. We all know that a minor illness and even a new tooth can worsen reflux symptoms in our children. So certainly a serious illness such as H1N1 is on our minds too.

If you want to learn more about the American Academy of Pediatrics go to their website at www.aap.org. There is plenty of information for parents on healthcare topics and parenting.

Check my Shareposts daily for more details on the conference or you can subscribe to my Shareposts and receive an email when I post a new message.
