Insurance vs Costly Stomach Meds

Due to my heartburn problems and being unable to get my medicine (I finally got insurance, but it does not cover expensive stomach medications), I am trying to adjust my diet.  It seems like the only thing that does not bother me is chicken noodle soup.  I normally like chicken noodle soup, but not if I have to eat it every day.  In... Read moreChevron

DO I have it?

OK, so I posted a question not too long ago wondering what this thing is in the back of my throat, and well, I have a doc appt tomorrow to find out.  I am starting to wonder if this all leads down to me having A.R.D. The newest thing is his noisy breathing. They adjusted his meds and i'm constantly changing his position, but nothing works 100%. He does eat, nap , and seem happy, but their are... Read moreChevron

Is Reflux Overtreated and Overdiagnosed?

PAGER received a call from a reporter last Friday. The reporter talked to Jennifer Rackley and asked whether we think acid reflux is over diagnosed in young children. Apparently, she had interviewed a number of pediatric gastroenterologists who all shared this opinion. I've been hearing muttering about reflux being over diagnosed for the past... Read moreChevron
