At a Glance

Symptoms of acid reflux include a painful burning sensation in the chest, upset stomach, persistent cough and sore throat, fullness in the stomach, nausea after eating, and pain and discomfort in the upper abdomen.  Symptoms are usually brought on by eating heavy meals, eating spicy foods or foods high in fat, lying down on the back, lifting, and bending over.
