Antacid Medications

At a Glance

Antacid Medications are generally the first line of defense a physician will recommend when a patient presents with acid reflux symptoms.  Antacids neutralize digestive acids when they enter the esophagus.  They are best used alone for the relief of occasional bouts of heartburn.  Persistent heartburn should be addressed by a physician.
