Hi kerri,

It sounds like your acid reflux isn't under control. When's the last time you went to your gastroenterologist? I would make an appointment - he or she may be able to suggest alternate treatment options or adjust your current treatment regimen as needed.

Until you can make it to the doctor, here are some suggestions for preventing acid reflux at nighttime:

- Sleep with your head elevated above bed level

- Do not eat within 2-3 hours of laying down

- Avoid any foods known to cause you problems with reflux

- Avoid alcohol
