Sunday, April 03, 2011 Brooke Alsteens asks

Q: i have severe pain on my right side. I have frequent bowel movements after meals. the pain is severe. i have been living off of "zantac" for months

I have no weight loss no nausea, i can not function normally. My bowel movements have taken over my life. and i need help

The bowel issues are not commonly a part of reflux. You may want to look at the IBS board. Also, if you haven't already, you should see a doctor about this. Your doctor may want to run some tests such as to check for blood in your stool. It's also possible that the Zantac is making the frequent bowel movements worse.
