Unfortunately, increased weight can be one of the causes of reflux. Also, the types of foods you are eating can contribute. I applaud you at quitting smoking. In the long run quitting smoking and dealing with the weight/reflux issue are probably your better bet. You may want to see your doctor to discuss options, diet, etc.
