Saturday, August 08, 2009 Sam asks

Q: Will CEPHALEXIN (ANTIBIOTIC) cause additional acid reflex discomfort?

Am taking 500 mg of CEPHALEXIN (oral antibiotic) twice daily and have been for four days and discomfort from acid reflex seems to have intensified. Could this be a side effect? This antibiotic is a prescription given me by my primary physician for a mild Bronchial Infection.

Your response will be greatly appreciated. Typically its Saturday and I have no one to contact.

Thank you,  Sam
